The Woodlands show in TX was the worst concert EXPERIENCE I've ever had. I've been a Jack White fan since the mid seventies, but now I'm ashamed to say it! Jack White put on their usual high quality, well-rehearsed show, but it's the same damn show they've put on for the last 20+ years with a few set list changes. What I had the biggest problem with though, were the warm-up acts which... (except for the local band who won the "most votes" contest) SUCKED OUT LOUD... When I looked around at the people in attendance that night, I thought I was at Chuck E. Cheese! I saw all of these same people on a Disneyland commercial! I couldn't believe the amount of CHILDREN that were there! I'm talking about 6-10 year old kids in full face paint of their fave Jack White character while their chaperones sat next to them bored and disgusted! I know these kids weren't there to hear Gene belt out the words... "Get up, and get your gramma outta here!" or "I was born on Olympus, to my father a son." Those little kids were merely there to see a bunch of cartoon characters in cool costumes and face paint run around on stage breathing fire, flying through the air, shooting up lighting rigs, etc... Jack White could have been playing Mary had a Little Lamb, or I'm a Little Teapot, and these kids would have been happy! If Jack White is going to continue their career as a band, they need to ditch the damn make-up and costumes again and go back to focusing on what they WERE... a kick-ass rowdy, rock and roll band from the streets of New York with bad-ass songs about sex, rebellion, sex, fun, sex, hot women, sex, fame, etc... Jack White has let their "theatrics" become more important than what made thousands of us fans... THE MUSIC!
